One of the most important days of the year is coming up - Earth Day on April 22nd!
There are tons of great events going on all around DFW giving you opportunities to learn more ways to be environmentally conscious, and also about green local businesses! So to kick off the month I wanted to put together a list of those events all over!
At Elephant Trunk Moving Supplies, we are determined to doing our part in saving the planet, by educating the community about the importance of Earth Day. We are helping our customers do their part by renting them reusable plastic moving boxes.

April 19th - April 28th - Fair Park
There are several layers to this event. Just to quickly break them down:
Exposition (April 26th - April 28th)
ExpoEarthX2019 is the world’s largest environmental experience. 400 speakers, 700 exhibitors and a wide range of activities such as the Tiny House Village, Outdoor Adventure Zone, Animal Petting Zoo, Virtual Reality Zone, Auto Show, Scuba Diving, Art 4 Dumpsters, E-Bike Test Track, EarthxTaste and so much more! I highly recommend you register online ahead of time so you can get in for free, if you do not register it is $5 to enter the event. Click here for some of the main attractions!
Film (April 19th - April 28th)
EarthxFilm Festival 2019 is a 10 day Film Festival showcasing films, VR and interactive media from top filmmakers and conservationists from around the globe that explore conservation, climate change, and the environment. Click here to see the schedule and get tickets!
Oak Cliff Earth Day
April 14th 11 AM - 5 PM
This is a free community event at Lake Cliff Park. The event features tons of green vendors, a terrarium workshop, food trucks, and more! It’s a really fun event, learn more on their website or facebook page.
Clean It & Green In - Frisco
April 20th 8 AM - 1 PM
This is a free community event in Frisco at Simpson Plaza. As a Keep Texas Beautiful Affiliate, the City of Frisco participates in the Great American Clean-Up! Volunteers are asked to clean in areas near where they live, work, or attend school. To reward our volunteers' hard work, the City of Frisco throws the volunteers a party! This family-friendly event offers food, face painting, bounce houses, games, and more! Click here to learn more about the event and pre-register!
Great American Clean Up - Plano
April 13th 8 AM - 1:30 PM
This is a free community event in Plano! Cleanups will begin at 8 a.m. at locations around Plano, followed by a volunteer appreciation party from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Chase Oaks Church parking lot (281 Legacy Drive). RSVP on Facebook and share your photos throughout the cleanup and the appreciation party by using hashtag #GACPlano on social media. The appreciation party will feature a free lunch and beverages, live music, games, prizes, education booths and more! Click here to see the website and learn more!
Great Mansfield Clean Up
April 27th 9 AM - 1 PM
This is a free community event in Mansfield! Clean up will be from 9 AM - 11:30 followed by a celebration lunch for volunteers at the Xfinity Center. Click here to learn more!
Earthfest Allen
April 27th 10 AM - 2 PM
This is a free community event in Allen located at 1050 Comanche Dr. The event features local experts hosting interactive educational booths in an outdoor setting. Click here to learn more!
Earth Day Festival - Arlington
April 6th 10 AM - 2 PM
This is a free event hosted by the River Legacy Living Science Center, located at 703 NW Green Oaks Blvd. Celebrate Earth Day with nature walks, story times, crafts, activities, demonstrations & more. Click here for more information!
